The Christian Science Church was designed by its Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, to commemorate the word and works of our Master, Christ Jesus, "which should reinstate primitive Christianity and its lost element of healing." Manual of the Mother Church, pg. 17:8
First Church Big Bear Lake is dedicated to the practice and promotion of that Christianity and the spiritual healing through prayer which is an integral part of its ongoing demonstration.
** Do to a fire in our main edifice, June 16, 2016, the church is now located in our Reading Room at 550 Squirrel Lane, one block South of Lakeview Dr. (Big Bear Blvd.). Turn south on Cottage Lane to Beaver Lane. Then turn left on Beaver Lane and park in parking lot on the left. You will see our current church location combined with our Reading Room just up from the parking lot.
Church Pastor
The Christian Science Church does not have an officially ordained clergy. Church services are conducted by Readers who are elected from the membership to serve in that capacity.
The King James Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health With Key To the Scriptures", by Mary Baker Eddy, are the official Pastor of the church. The sermons at all Sunday morning services, as well as readings at Wednesday evening Testimony Meetings, are from these books.

Services are currently held in our Church / Reading Room building:
Sunday Morning services are at 10:00 AM
Sunday School services are at 10:00 AM
Wednesday services are 3:30 PM.
